My church in Tower Hamlets, where I’m a pastor, has close connections with the Bangladeshi commuity. We brought one of our members to Citywide Solicitors in connection with an asylum claim which had been refused by the Home Office. Citywide fought the appeal on our behalf. I was impessed by their professionalism – including clear and concise answers to my questions, even ‘after hours’. The appeal was allowed by the Immigration Tribunal following evidence of myself and another pastor. The Home Office had to back-track, and were obliged to grant refugee status to the the asylum seeker who could not return to his county because of threats that he could be killed for becoming a Christian.
