On Billy Yin Li

Billy is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is a dual-qualified lawyer with substantial experience in litigation. Before being admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales, in 2023, he practised as a Barrister in Hong Kong from 2016. 

Billy completed Post-graduate Degree in Law (LLM) at Queen Mary University of London, with distinction, in 2022.

Extensive litigation experience: 

Billy defended hundreds of clients from arrests to appeals, both as a sole advocate and as junior counsel in criminal proceedings. He handled cases including high value theft.  He also advised on regulatory matters. 

Billy was regularly instructed by the HKSAR Government to prosecute cases in all the Magistrate Courts.

Areas of work

Billy represents clients in Company law matters, Family and Family Finance matters, Landlord & Tenant, Employment & Discrimination cases as well as Immigration & Human Rights matters. He deals with different stages of civil proceedings including drafting of Pleadings, such Particular of Claim, Defence, reply, Skeleton Argument and handles interlocutory applications as well as trials.
